Theological Formation Program

Building a Community of Students to be Academically Excellent and Passionately Catholic.

Partnering with Franciscan University of Steubenville, the ICT Theological Formation Program offers an enhanced in-person experience for students enrolled in Franciscan’s  University’s online theology programs, including the MA in Theology and Christian Ministry (MATCM), the MA in Catechetics and Evangelization (MACE), the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Arts in Catechetics and Evangelization (BACE) or the Associate of Arts (AA).

What is unique about this partnership is the support it provides: Students meet monthly in-person for ongoing fellowship and formation. This allows for a “best of both worlds” experience – great theological formation and in-person interaction with faculty, speakers and staff.

For Phoenix-area students in the MATCM, MACE, BA, BACE, or AA programs, the Theological Formation Program is an on-ground experience composed of seven “Theological Formation Days” per year, four in the Fall and three in the Spring.

Featuring support from our Institute Fellows, these days are monthly and feature workshops on theological, pastoral and intellectual issues. These days also include times for daily Mass, group prayer and student interaction.
