Summer Catholic Fellowship for a Lifetime of Missionary Discipleship
for Young Adults 18 to 25 years old
May 18 – June 4, 2023
(With additional online sessions through June)
Gallup, NM • Flagstaff, AZ • Phoenix, AZ
Christus Vivit Fellowship forms young adult Catholics (ages 18 - 25) to be life-long missionary disciples, those who personally strive to follow Christ and help grow the Church. The fellowship helps participants develop the key understandings, attitudes, skills and relationships needed to support Church growth for the next generations.
Service – The missionary disciple is of service to others.
May 18-21
The fellowship begins with an experience of serving those in need in the poorest diocese of the country, Gallup, New Mexico on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The first days of the fellowship are spent assisting the Little Sisters of the Poor, the Missionaries of Charity, and the Sacred Heart Retreat Center. Each participant works in a soup kitchen, at nursing homes and at a Catholic retreat center.
CHRIST IS ALIVE
Study – The missionary disciple seeks to understand the mission of the Church.
Begins May 22nd
The fellowship includes intellectual formation in the saving message of Jesus Christ and understanding the vocation of each person within the Church’s mission. These courses and workshops equip participants in four vital areas of missionary discipleship: human, spiritual, intellectual, and service-minded formation.
Our theology course is Human and Spiritual Integration, taught by Fr. Ignatius Mazanowski, with three transferable credit hours available from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
The full course schedule is available at ictphx.org/summersymposium.

Community Life
In addition to opportunities for social time and prayer, participants will have the opportunity for exciting excursions/camping/hiking.
CHRISTUS VIVIT
Sent Forth – The missionary disciple has a growth mindset and is dedicated to evangelization.
The fellowship forms the participant to be sent into the world as an ambassador of Christ and His Church. This aspect is accomplished through long-lasting friendships, workshops, and post-fellowship internships.
